This time around, we present a trio of performances featuring Cary Grant.
First up it’s Screen Directors Playhouse from January 20, 1950. It’s a 30 minute adaptation of the 1943 film Mr Lucky with Frances Robinson in the Laraine Day role. Director HC Potter appears via shortwave transcription.

Second on the docket is the November 16, 1950 episode of Suspense entitled On a Country Road. This is one of the true classic episodes that was repeated multiple times through the series history, the story of an escaped madwoman and a couple out of gas on a lonely road. Co-starring with Cary Grant is Cathy Lewis, Jeanette Nolan and Larry Thor.

Finally, it’s the 30 minute radio adaptation of Suspicion as presented on Academy Award Theatre on October 30, 1946. A story that likely needs no introduction, it’s a brisk adaptation of the Hitchcock film. Costarring with Cary Grant is Ann Todd filling in for Joan Fontaine.
